Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, with a focus on food preparation and production. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, managing kitchen operations, and contributing to menu development.
Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
* Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency and quality in all dishes served.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
* Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively.
* A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu planning and dish presentation.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
* A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential.
