Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Cardiff CF5
Start Date: 5th January 2026 – 17th July 2026 (with the possibility of extension)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:15pm
Pay: £90 per day
Are you a compassionate, patient, and energetic individual with a passion for helping children reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS3 pupil in a mainstream school in the Cardiff CF5 area.
We aim to get you fully cleared and familiar with the school before Christmas, allowing you to meet the team and begin the new term with confidence. The school is planning to hold trials during the weeks commencing 8th and 15th December, so availability during this period would be greatly appreciated.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to:
Access learning in a way that suits their individual needs
Build social skills, confidence, and independence
Engage with classroom activities and form positive relationships
Follow personalised learning plans developed by teachers and SEN staff
Requirements
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (support available if needed)
EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration – we can guide you through the process
Two recent references from employers or relevant roles
