This position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while leading a high-performing team.Financial Accounting Manager - Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Accounts Payable (AP) & Expense team, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense claims.
* Oversee year-end group reporting, statutory financial statements, and audit planning.
* Prepare and submit company tax returns, VAT filings, and manage responses to tax audit enquiries.
* Work with external tax advisors to ensure accurate tax computations and timely payments to HMRC.
* Conduct internal control testing across business areas and provide comprehensive supporting evidence.
* Review and enhance the internal control system to improve compliance and efficiency.
* Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management.
* Support the finance team in smooth month-end and year-end financial closures.
Essential Knowledge & Qualifications:
* ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
* Strong experience in managing accounts payable, tax returns, and financial reporting.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
* Proven experience in leading finance teams and improving operational efficiency.
* Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
