IG DPO Service Support Officer
Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) – Join our Clinical Directorate, Information Governance team to support registered General Medical Practices (GMPs) across Wales.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional advice and guidance on Information Governance, Data Protection and Confidentiality to subscribed GMPs.
* Support primary care contractors with general enquiries, training, auditing processes and developing support materials.
* Act as the main contact point for service enquiries, delivering a first‑class service with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Collaborate with a dynamic and friendly team to raise the profile of data protection and information governance across primary care.
* Maintain and update service documentation and support resources.
Qualifications & Experience
* Knowledge of Information Governance, Data Protection and Confidentiality; a recognised qualification or experience is preferred.
* Broad understanding of IG acceptable; specific experience in NHS IG and/or primary care setting desirable but not essential.
* Excellent communication, organisational and flexible working skills.
Travel & Language
* Flexible to travel across Wales on occasion, including possible overnight stays.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English speakers and Welsh speakers are welcome.
