Expleo is currently recruiting for a Senior Stress Engineer to support our Marine Engineering Department. The position will be based at the Expleo Preston office and could also be based in our Derby office and will report directly to the Engineering Team Leader (ETL). Working within the Stress team in our team, successful candidates will generate and report analysis to justify structural integrity against the customer provided requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product build. Undertake all aspects of analysis work supporting the Pipe Modules team including: Scoping calcs (Hand analysis) & analysis plans Analysis to Eurocode 3 / Cranes code etc. Analysis reporting utilising Mathcad Teamcenter input & interrogation Occasional FE creation (S-Frame / Staad Pro) Ensure ‘Right First Time’ is met in-line with Marine Business KPI’s. Be involved with continuous improvement process & offer improvement suggestions. Interfacing with external stakeholders to understand technical issues / specifications. Attend and contribute to design reviews (both internal and external) where required Working in accordance with Expleo QMS and customer quality requirements. Work in a team-based environment, have good written and verbal communication skills and be capable of making sound technical judgements and appropriate decisions. Stress experience required – Hand calcs Mathcad experience required Staad Pro / S-Frame FE desirable but not essential Marine Defence experience preferred. Proactive ‘Team Player’ with a focus on delivery and quality. Good communicator who is professional during interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering effective engineering solutions within cost, time and quality constraints.
