Alice House Hospice is a compassionate and dedicated provider of palliative and end-of-life care to individuals and their families. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe, supportive, and professional environment for our patients, visitors, staff, and volunteers.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Health & Safety Officer to join our team on a part-time basis.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring our hospice operates in full compliance with health and safety regulations, and that our staff and patients are protected through robust safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and review health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections across the hospice premises.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up actions.
* Provide health and safety training and guidance to staff and volunteers.
* Maintain records in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
* Liaise with external agencies, such as the HSE or local authorities, where necessary.
* Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
