Whether you're a Deputy Manager within a Children's Residential Home, a qualified and experienced children's social worker / senior support worker with a minimum 2 years experience as a senior, or a home manager looking to step down, we are confident this opportunity will be a great fit for you. We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children aged 7 to 18 and a track record of at least 2 years in a senior or management role, within then children's residential sector. The ideal candidate will have experience with Ofsted inspections and a proven ability to achieve "Good or Outstanding" outcomes for children and young people. Roles and Responsibilities: Have a good understanding of the Quality Standards and Children's Home Regulations 2015 This position is available to candidates that have the committed desire to progress into becoming a Registered Home Manager. To work closely with the Home Manager to gain a deep understanding of the operations of a Children's Residential Home, and contribute to its effective functioning. To step up and be responsible for the home in the absence of the home manager To have an oversight and be involved with the supervision of staff, rota and training To understand recruitment and staffing To understand how the home remains compliant within Ofsted guidance To build positive relationships key professionals such as social workers, team managers and IRO's To ensure that the home is delivering person centred nurturing care for consistent and continuous development for our children and young people as well as the staff team Must be available to support with on call, evening and weekends Skills and Experience: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willing to work towards this.
