Overview
Sanderson Recruitment have a Network Engineer vacancy with a truly bleeding-edge technology at a global managed cloud provider, renowned for delivering low-latency private cloud solutions and hybrid cloud experiences. You'll have the opportunity to work on a global network on the companies own network infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity role and will give you exposure to products and services unique to this organisation.
This role sits within a busy 24/7 NOC and will work shifts on a rota; the current shifts are 4 on, 4 off. A shift allowance will be paid on top of base salary. Hybrid working is offered, with a mixture of home working and time in office.
Role
* Collaborate with technical specialists to manage and optimise network and server services.
* Provide technical support to customers, ensuring high service levels and minimal downtime.
* Investigate and resolve network incidents, working with providers and partners as needed.
* Set up and manage BGP connections for trading platforms, wide area networks and public network systems.
* Monitor and enhance network resources, supporting the roll-out of new Points of Presence.
