Offer description

This position will cover our busy Southampton office. Occasionally, the employee may be required to travel to surrounding areas where the programme is being delivered. Travel costs will be reimbursed by Palladium.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Take responsibility and accountability for customers as assigned, working with them through to employment. This includes:
2. Assessing the customer’s starting position to decide how to best meet their needs.
3. Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.
4. Creating and following through with individualised action plans, ensuring appropriate and effective activity is undertaken by each customer.
5. Addressing customer’s personal constraints to employment, providing challenge, advice, and guidance to develop their capabilities in the recruitment process, ensuring they have the necessary skills and confidence to secure employment.
6. Identifying, structuring, and recommending vacancy and training solutions, working closely with the team to meet the specific needs of customers and employers.
7. Maintaining customer records to a required standard to ensure the customer journey is documented in accordance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
8. Developing an understanding of specialist signposting services in the local area/region, including areas such as disabilities, housing, benefits, etc.
9. Meeting personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators, and all Quality and Compliance measures by delivering high-quality employability services remotely and face-to-face.
10. Developing relationships and networks with key stakeholders, including employers, Job Centre teams, and funding providers, to ensure smooth operations.

Project Overview and Role:

The Restart programme supports Universal Credit claimants unemployed for at least 6 months to find local jobs, offering up to 12 months of tailored support. The salary range is £26,208 to £29,000. The Employment Adviser manages a caseload, working with clients to develop and follow individual work plans towards sustained employment.
