Senior Compliance Officer – Law Firm (London)

What my client is looking for
* 5–8 years’ experience in legal compliance within a law firm environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong numerical accuracy, and solid IT skills (particularly Excel and Word).
* Ability to work to deadlines with strong organisation, attention to detail and teamwork.
* Good working knowledge of personal injury law and the SRA Code of Conduct.
* Degree-educated (preferred but not essential).
* Practical knowledge of cyber security and information risk.
What you’ll be doing
* Auditing files to ensure regulatory compliance, documenting processes and reporting on findings.
* Responding to staff compliance queries and maintaining accurate data records.
* Organising inductions and delivering regular compliance training and updates.
* Owning and developing the firm’s cyber awareness programme.
* Conducting file reviews and managing complaints handling.
* Taking responsibility for data protection matters, including subject access requests.
* Managing and developing junior compliance staff.
