Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology based at the North Devon District Hospital site in Barnstaple. The role offers opportunities to participate in research and innovation, service development, or teaching within a large Trust that prioritises patient care, learning and career progression.

About us
We are a large Trust stretching across Northern, Eastern and Mid Devon with over 15,000 staff, providing core and specialist services to a population of around 615,000. Our services cover two acute hospitals and a wide network including community inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics and home care. We collaborate with local universities and invest in research and teaching to deliver high-quality care.
Our department of Diabetes and Endocrinology operates as a fully integrated team, delivering face-to-face and remote care from Barnstaple and Exeter. Consultants are supported to develop sub-specialty interests, and to pursue research and teaching opportunities.

Our department includes a multidisciplinary team of diabetes specialist nurses, endocrine nurses, dietitians, podiatrists and psychologists, and benefits from a multi-million-pound clinical research facility and a strong research profile.
