With demand for clean energy talent at an all-time high, we’re looking for a Recruitment Specialist to help us scale our impact by attracting, engaging, and placing the industry’s top professionals. As a Recruitment Specialist, you’ll take full ownership of the talent acquisition process—from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation—for technical and commercial roles in renewable energy.
Role Overview
You’ll work as a 360 Recruitment Consultant, responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle—sourcing talent, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality placements across engineering, project development, commercial, and executive-level roles in renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and manage strong relationships with clients in the renewable energy space
– Source and screen candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, networking, and referrals
– Write compelling job adverts and candidate briefs
– Coordinate and manage the recruitment process from interview to offer
– Advise clients on market trends, salary benchmarks, and hiring strategy
– Manage and maintain the CRM/ATS system
– Represent The Harry James Group at clean energy networking events, conferences, and career fairs
– Meet monthly KPIs for business development, interviews, and placements
What We’re Looking For
– 1–3 years of experience in recruitment (agency or in-house); renewable energy or technical sectors preferred
– Passion for sustainability and the clean energy transition
– A proactive, self-motivated approach and strong business development mindset
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
– Familiarity with recruitment tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Bullhorn, etc.)
– Confidence working with senior-level candidates and clients
Desirable (but not essential)
– Experience recruiting for roles in solar, wind, energy storage, EV infrastructure, or hydrogen
– Knowledge of the UK energy market and the clean tech ecosystem
– Experience placing mid-to-senior hires or contract roles
