Personal Welfare Support Assistant – Gorsemoor Primary School invites applications for a highly motivated, reliable, and professional Welfare Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a child in our warm and nurturing Nursery setting, starting as soon as possible.

You will work closely with experienced staff to uphold high standards of care, learning, and development, providing dedicated support for a key child to ensure they feel safe, supported, and confident in accessing all learning opportunities.

Your responsibilities
* Supporting a child on a 1:1 basis in our nursery.
* Assist a child in matters of personal needs and their general health, and welfare matters with specific reference to toileting and changing as required.
* Supervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety by complying with good H&S practice.
* Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
* Undertake routine administrative tasks, e.g. pupil record-keeping as requested.
* Appropriate liaison with parents on general pupil matters.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. It is essential that the successful candidate can work under pressure, maintain a high level of personal drive and resilience, and have relevant experience. The role requires adaptability to changing priorities, initiative, strong organization, confidentiality, and professionalism. Suitable training will be provided to develop specific qualities. Successful candidates will possess good literacy and numeracy skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with pupils and their parents/carers, and a good level of IT skills.
