Pay Rate: £89.38 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: January 2026

We’re looking for a confident and proactive Behaviour Support Worker to provide full-time assistance across the school. The school features a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) for pupils with complex needs, providing tailored support to develop social and emotional skills.

This role involves supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, additional learning needs, and offering general classroom support. You’ll work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop positive coping strategies.

While formal teaching qualifications or classroom experience are not required for this role, any proven experience supporting children or young people—particularly those with SEN or challenging behaviours—is highly valued and transferable for this role!

Who We’re Looking for?

* Resilient, patient and understanding attitude
* Proven experience supporting children or young people, particularly those with SEN and challenging behaviours (Desirable)
* Deliver consistent support during lessons and daily activities tailored to individual pupil needs
* The ability to implement strategies to manage and de-escalate behaviour effectively
* Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Requirements (or willingness to obtain at your own cost)

To demonstrate your commitment to working in education, you must either hold or be prepared to apply for the following:

* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* Aged 18 or over
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Level 2 Safeguarding training
* At least two professional references covering 24 months employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
