Salary:£27,713 - £30,250 dependant on qualifications Plus £2000 Welcome bonus For HLTA with SEN Experience*
Hours:40 hours per week Term Time Only - Start time 8.15am - Finish time Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 4.45pm. Thursday 5pm and Friday 4pm
We are currently seeking an experiencedHLTA-Higher Level Teaching Assistantto join a specialist school supportingautistic students aged between 11 16, whohave associated behavioural and communication difficulties.
The role:
As Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your role will be to support the Class Teacher with all elements of the day to day running of the class/s and to teach whole classes, groups and individual lessons in consultation with the Class Teacher. Youll take the lead in the absence of a Class teacher, and assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment.
To facilitate this, youll be expected to know and understand the Class Teachers curriculum planning and to plan, prepare and deliver assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities to individual, small groups and/or classes modifying and adapting activities as necessary within agreed systems of supervision.
