Lead Full Stack Web Developer (Contract) | Leeds City Centre | Hybrid (4 days in office) | £450- £550 p/d | 3-6 month contract
We are working with a large consultancy that are looking for a lead ful stack web developer with a strong expertise in React and modern web development to join a software provider that operates internationally.
As the Lead Developer, you will be working across the full stack, with a primary focus on React-based Front End applications, while also contributing to Back End architecture and API integration.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the design and development of modern full-stack web applications, utilizing React and TypeScript on the Front End and Java, Spring, and Hibernate on the Back End.
* Lead a major migration initiative to transition to a sleeker, higher-performance, and more user-friendly web architecture.
* Shape technical direction and enforce best practices across the team, ensuring high code quality through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and strong development standards.
* Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering skills development and encouraging knowledge sharing.
* Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of all web applications.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent hands-on commercial experience.
* At least 7 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
* A minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership or senior developer role.
