Court of Protection Solicitor – Bristol or Gloucester
A standout opportunity for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a respected, long established national law firm with a strong reputation in personal injury, clinical negligence and complex private client work.
The Role
Working within a specialist COP team, you'll manage a varied caseload involving vulnerable and brain injured clients. You'll support senior lawyers on complex matters while taking responsibility for your own files and helping to guide junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing Property & Affairs, Deputyships, Trusts and Statutory Wills
* Supporting clients with financial decisions, lifestyle needs and welfare issues
* Preparing COP applications, including PI Trusts and Welfare Deputyships
* Supervising and delegating to paralegals/trainees
* Ensuring compliance with SRA and OPG Deputy Standards
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor or FCILEx (3-5 PQE) with COP and/or Clinical Negligence experience
* Strong technical knowledge of Court of Protection law and vulnerable client work
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills
* Highly organised, proactive and able to manage a busy caseloadConfident supervising junior team members
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to client care
* Competent with case management systems and general IT
