Responsibilities:
* Compare prices and quotes from different suppliers.
* Find ways to reduce costs, like switching suppliers.
* Look for new suppliers.
* Keep purchasing records.
* Prepare reports and cost analyses.
* Create purchase orders based on supplier quotes.
* Ensure optimal stock levels of all products.
* Provide quotes and pricing for customers.
* Resolve customer and supplier queries via phone and email.
* Check and approve supplier invoices for payment.
Essential Skills/Competencies:
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Organizational skills
* Office environment experience
Desirable:
* Experience in a purchasing role
* Knowledge of import/export processes and procedures
* Familiarity with Sage 200
