Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver engineering projects from concept through design, execution, and handover
* Apply sound engineering judgement to complex technical, operational, and commercial challenges
* Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, contractors, and clients
* Ensure compliance with UK regulations, British Standards, and health & safety requirements
* Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and documentation
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and performance
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and technicians
* Contribute to project planning, cost control, scheduling, and risk management
* Liaise with external stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory bodies as required
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree (BEng or MEng) in Engineering or a related discipline
* 7–15+ years’ experience in an engineering role within industrial, manufacturing, construction, energy, infrastructure, or technology environments
* Strong technical expertise within your engineering discipline
* Experience working to UK legislation, British Standards, and industry codes of practice
* Proven ability to manage or significantly contribute to complex engineering projects
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working toward chartership preferred
* Proficiency with relevant engineering software, tools, and systems
