Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Senior IT Manager to lead and evolve our technology landscape in a growing manufacturing business. This role combines operational excellence with strategic innovation: ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all IT systems, while also identifying, developing, and delivering transformative technology solutions.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in modernising our systems environment—potentially including ERP implementation, systems integration, data strategy, and bespoke software development—while championing the usage of emerging technologies such as AI to unlock business value.
This is a leadership role for someone who is both technically strong and commercially aware, capable of shaping strategy but equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to deliver robust, practical solutions.

* Maintain strong cybersecurity practices, policies, and compliance standards
* Oversee IT support services, ensuring responsive and effective service delivery across the business

Systems & Digital Transformation
* Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of major systems (e.g. ERP)
* Drive integration between systems to improve efficiency, data flow, and visibility
* Identify opportunities for process automation and digital transformation across manufacturing and business operations
* Oversee the development of bespoke software solutions where appropriate
* Develop and implement a clear data strategy to support decision-making and operational performance
* Champion the effective use of data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting tools
* Explore and implement emerging technologies (e.g. AI, automation tools) to improve productivity and insight
* Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation
* Take full ownership of IT and systems projects from concept through to delivery
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
* Apply structured project management methodologies with clear governance and stakeholder engagement
* Balance strategic thinking with practical execution
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team on all IT and systems matters
* Translate technical concepts into clear business value and outcomes
* Build and develop a high-performing I.T. team
