* We are seeking a Data Centre Facilities Manager with comprehensive expertise in mission-critical infrastructure systems. You should have knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centre environments, along with previous experience in mission-critical settings such as data centres, hospitals, power plants, telecommunications, or military facilities. An advanced education in technology or engineering, or equivalent practical experience, is essential.
* We value proven leadership experience in developing high-performing technical teams and a track record of raising performance standards to achieve operational excellence. Typically, candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent progressive leadership roles. Preferred qualifications include an advanced electrical or mechanical qualification (Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline) and experience in data centre operations. Professional certifications in facilities management or engineering disciplines are also advantageous.
Responsibilities:
* As the Data Centre Facilities Manager, I will manage 24/7 site engineering operations, focusing on shift planning, maintenance schedules, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). I will oversee critical infrastructure systems, including electrical components (feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units) and mechanical systems (chillers, pumps, air handling units).
* Driving Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) improvements will be a priority, optimising cooling, power, and infrastructure for maximum efficiency. I will manage and optimise space and power to leverage growth and operational efficiency, as well as plan and deliver site infrastructure projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
