Job Description: 2 Posts available, based at Community Connections, 30 hours, Fixed Term to 28/08/2026. Please note that these posts are part-time and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.

West Dunbartonshire HSCP Learning Disability Service delivers high-quality community and building-based support services to adults with learning disabilities. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, motivated, and flexible people to join our support team.

The community-based support service operates 7 am - 9 pm, 7 days a week. A rota is in operation, and you would be required to work shifts, which also include weekend working. Building-based service operates Monday - Friday with varied work hours.

Duties include assisting service users with all aspects of personal care where required, medication administration, home support, and accessing community-based activities. You will also assist service users to maintain and develop their daily living skills and engage in meaningful activities promoting independence and choice.

You must have a minimum SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. It is essential that you have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities. You must be able to demonstrate within your application form that you are reliable and flexible with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

Requirements: This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020, and as such, membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
