£16.00 per hour Market Leading Food Manufacturer - Sykes Seafood BASED MAGHULL Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off. 6am – 6pm. 20 days holiday £16 an hour ROLE As a member of the Technical team, the Quality Controller contributes to the successful operation of the Quality Control function on site. This includes the following functions: Production monitoring and control in accordance with customer specifications, various regulatory and certification bodies and Customer Codes of Practice, Environmental and product monitoring. Key Responsibilities: * Monitoring the processing of raw materials to create finished products in accordance with established specifications * The packing of cooked or raw product into sealed retail ready packaging * Thermal processing of raw product in accordance with the Company HACCP plan * The packing of cooked product into retail ready modified atmosphere packaging * To continually improve processes and standards within the facility * Uphold Quality Standards throughout the factory * Quality Checks on goods produced CANDIDATE You must have previous experience working in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within the Food Manufacturing sector. You will have good communication skills and you will be ready to work well as part of a team. Exposure to BRC and HACCP standards would be desirable. Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off. 6am – 6pm. 10.5 hours per day 1.5 hour unpaid breaks
