Summary
You will maximise output from operational wind, hydro, and PV generators. You will ensure that battery and on-demand electricity generators are maintained and ready when needed.
This diverse role will be based at our central Edinburgh office, with occasional travel to UK renewable energy generation sites. It is a permanent full-time position.
The Greenspan Agency has been operating in the renewable energy sector since 2007. Our business is growing as the energy transition accelerates.
We own and operate energy projects and support our clients with the development, construction, and operation of their energy generation assets.
You will work with, and be mentored by, an experienced team with a track record of delivering viable multi-megawatt projects.
Responsibilities
* You will coordinate specialist third party maintenance staff such as contracted O&M firms, electrical engineers and security system providers.
* You will be able to develop personable, professional, productive relationships with clients, maintenance staff, and the Greenspan Agency team.
* You will be able to understand and fix communications problems with generation sites, including those for CCTV, metering, SCADA.
* You will create a strong link between the commissioning and operational phases by working closely with our EPC staff, moving new projects successfully from construction to long-term operation.
* In the first instance, tasks will be delegated to you by the managerial team, with the potential to take on significant responsibility soon after.
* You may contribute to our successful bureau service which provides owners of over 120 generation assets with the administrative functions needed for the sale of energy via PPAs, and the claiming of incentives such as the Feed-in-Tariff, Renewable Heat Incentive and Renewables Obligation etc.
Skills and Experience
Suitable candidates are likely to have at least four years of work experience (including part time or during education).
You will have a tenacious approach to problem solving and task completion.
Exceptional candidates from outside the energy generation sector will be considered, but experience in the sector is preferrable.
Character and potential are more important than specific qualifications, but a related degree in renewable energy technology, engineering, ITC, or similar is preferred.
