This is a rewarding opportunity for a committed teacher who believes every child deserves the chance to succeed both academically and personally. The Role As a teacher within our SEMH provision, you will play a vital role in supporting students who experience a range of behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties. The role will involve: Building strong, positive relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or difficulties within mainstream education Delivering engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs Supporting both the academic and emotional development of pupils Implementing strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour effectively Creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, mental health professionals, pastoral teams, and external agencies to provide tailored support Promoting emotional wellbeing, confidence, resilience, and positive outcomes for all learners What We Are Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience working with students with SEMH needs or within a similar specialist setting A calm, positive, and resilient approach with excellent behaviour management skills A strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and the impact of adverse childhood experiences on behaviour and learning Excellent communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve success Why Join Us?
