An opportunity has arisen to join our Emergency Gynaecology Ward at St Mary's Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital, within Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.
About the Ward
Ward F16 is a 15-bed emergency ward with a dedicated 4-bed day case unit, delivering high standards of nursing care. Emergency patients are received from the Emergency Gynaecology Unit, ED, and other healthcare settings.
Our day case unit provides urgent theatre services for emergency patients five days a week, in conjunction with our emergency theatres.

Who We Are Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have some caring experience, gained in healthcare, social care, the service industry, or as a carer or guardian outside of work. Personal skills, resilience, and a strong work ethic are essential.
If you have qualifications like the National Care Certificate or Level 2 Apprenticeship in healthcare, that’s advantageous. Our Clinical Support Worker Development Programme will support you to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become a qualified Nursing Assistant with opportunities for training and progression.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide care to patients experiencing emergency gynaecological or pregnancy conditions, including investigations and treatment.
* Support patients with physical or learning disabilities, dementia, or anxiety.
* Treat all patients with dignity, respect, kindness, and patience, recognizing the impact on their families.
