The opportunity:
We are looking for a talented and driven Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager to join our Finance team, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. This role leads core financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring robust controls, accurate monthend close and highquality management and board reporting. You will also line manage the Licensing Controller and work closely with stakeholders across the business.
What are key duties of the role?
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Lead and support the monthend close across multiple entities, including accruals, prepayments, payroll and sales rebates
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial analysis, board packs and multicurrency consolidations
Maintain strong balance sheet control through timely reconciliations and issue resolution
Manage intercompany accounting, stock accounting and monthly sales commission reporting
Tax, VAT & Compliance
Prepare and submit VAT returns across the UK, Germany and other EU territories
Manage US sales and use tax reporting
Support statutory, audit and compliance requirements, including external audits
Cashflow, Treasury & Fixed Assets
Oversee daily bank reconciliations and manage group cash balances
Support treasury activity including FX and banking platforms
Maintain the fixed asset register, depreciation and annual reviews
Licensing, Systems & People
Oversee royalty reporting and maintain integrity of the Rightsline system
Line manage and develop the Licensing Controller
Drive continuous improvement in finance systems, processes and controls
Partner with stakeholders across the business to support reporting and decisionmaking
What we need you to bring to the team:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Proven experience in financial accounting, monthend close and reporting
Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
Experience leading or developing team members
Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across the business
Strong Excel and finance systems capability, with a mindset for process improvement
