This role involves leading process engineering design from initial specification to operational delivery, managing all relevant design elements. We seek a self-motivated team player eager to grow and collaborate across UKNNL sites, with flexibility to work at Preston or Risley.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead process engineering design development adhering to standards.
* Author and review calculations, drawings, reports, and memos.
* Coordinate with project managers to meet project requirements.
* Define procurement needs and collaborate with suppliers.
* Support commissioning and troubleshooting of plant areas.
* Design safe plants complying with safety standards.
* Mentor junior engineers.
* Identify and develop business improvements.
* Engage in employee development programs.
Essential Criteria
* Chartered Engineer.
* Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
* Experience in process plant design in regulated industries.
* Experience with HAZOP.
* Keen knowledge of legislative and environmental standards.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in nuclear sector.
* High energy, self-motivated contributor.
