An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 HCPC registered Clinical Scientist to join the Radiotherapy Physics team at Poole Hospital. The role will support the treatment planning, QA & dosimetry and brachytherapy sections of the department. Three TrueBeam machines are situated at Poole, with a fourth at our satellite centre in Dorchester. External beam treatment planning is performed using Eclipse, and the brachytherapy service offers gynaecological (vault and cervix) and prostate (HDR and LDR) treatments, with plans to offer skin and oesophageal treatments in the future. Mosaiq is used throughout the department as the record & verify system. The postholder will also have opportunity for development work such as implementing AI autocon‑contouring and ProKnow‑facilitated audit of plan quality. The department is a reference site for Sun Nuclear and VisionRT and is involved in early adoption and development work with both suppliers.
