We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist for a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave within the Staff Advice and Liaison Service (SALS) at Alder Hey.
Role Overview
The clinical psychology role in SALS is a new and evolving specialization aimed at enhancing organizational health and staff well-being through expert psychological and organizational knowledge. The successful candidate will collaborate with the SALS team to develop psychological support services for staff, contributing to the ongoing development and daily operations of SALS, a psychology-led listening service for all staff.
Main Responsibilities
1. Provide specialist psychological expertise to understand and address the emotional complexities related to healthcare needs of staff.
2. Develop opportunities for reflective practice across clinical and non-clinical staff.
3. Conduct psychological assessments and interventions with individuals, groups, and teams, focusing on managing emotional impacts of work to improve effectiveness and wellbeing.
4. Undertake assessments based on complex data from diverse sources, including psychological tests, self-report measures, and observations.
5. Make highly complex judgments, analyze options, and formulate psychological intervention plans based on current evidence-based practices across various organizational settings.
