The Department
The MFL department is collaborative and well-resourced, with shared schemes of work and clear assessment systems across KS3 and KS4.
You will be joining a team that:
* Delivers structured lessons with clear modelling
* Focuses on retrieval practice and vocabulary retention
* Prepares GCSE cohorts effectively for speaking and writing exams
* Maintains consistent expectations around participation
* Tracks progress closely and intervenes early
Specialisms in French or Spanish are particularly welcome, though other language specialisms will be considered.
The Role
As an MFL Teacher, you will:
* Deliver engaging language lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Develop students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing
* Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations
* Differentiate effectively for mixed-ability classes
* Maintain strong classroom behaviour
* Contribute to departmental planning and data tracking
This is a full teaching role including planning, marking and assessment responsibilities.
