Job Opportunity: CNC Machinist Programmer
Assignment Type: Full-time, Long-term Temporary
Working Hours:37 hours/week, rotating shifts (Double Days:6 am–2 pm/2 pm–10 pm; Fixed Nights: 10 pm–6 am)
Pay Rate: £20.69 per hour (After successful completion of 12 weeks, pay rate will change to £ uplift shift pay

Role Overview
As a Production CNC Technician, you will play a vital role within the Operations team, supporting engineering processes including the programming, setting, and operation of advanced CNC machinery (5-axis Milling, Turning, surface grinding, etc.). You will also contribute to inspection activities such as CMM and automated surface finish inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Operate multi-axis CNC machinery, associated ancillary equipment, and CMM measuring equipment safely and reliably
Accurately interpret detailed technical drawings and work instructions
Develop innovative manufacturing initiatives to improve lead times and maximize value
Conduct asset care routines on equipment, including minor maintenance (e.g., lubrication, filter changes)
Prioritize your workload and work flexibly to meet tight deadlines within health, safety, and environmental guidelines
Foster effective communication and working relationships within your team and across departments
Apply GMP practices, internal quality systems, and methods to all aspects of your work
Operate computer systems and software such as ADAPTIV, Seiki Systems (DNC),NX, and JDE
Maintain housekeeping standards and champion 6S practices in your work area
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience in a similar CNC programming, setting, and operating role
Recognized qualification or demonstrated skills in CNC machine programming (Fanuc, Mazotrol, Heidenhain, or Mill Plus)
Ideally, experience in the medical device sector (other regulated industries considered)
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Familiarity with GMP practices and validation (medical device industry experience preferred)
Basic experience with 6S, Operator Asset Care, and Lean manufacturing
Understanding of quality systems and related standards
Proactive approach to continuous improvement
