Key Responsibilities: Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings Setting out the work area, following engineering plans Preparing and setting up steel bars and mesh Accurately cutting and bending steel bars and mesh Fixing the steel bars and rebar in position with wire and other fixing devices Ensuring the steel fixings adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines Collaborating with other tradesmen on-site to ensure project deadlines are met Inspecting completed work for accuracy and adherence to specifications Job Requirements: Significant experience in steel fixing within the construction industry Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings Strong attention to detail and precision in work Understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction site context Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Physical fitness for handling heavy materials and working in challenging conditions CSCS card or equivalent certification NVQ Level 2 in Steel Fixing EKFB induction Medical Benefits: Engaging and dynamic work environment Ferry paid for Monday morning and Friday afternoon Higher rate due to remote location, digs to be covered by rate.
