Your new role
As Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the final assembly operations for a range of high performance machinery. You will oversee production teams on the factory floor, ensuring output meets strict quality requirements and ambitious dispatch schedules. Working closely with senior management, you will help drive the implementation of a new MRP system and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflow, safety and operational efficiency. The role also involves close collaboration with the design office on engineering changes, as well as responsibility for staff development, recruitment, performance management and daily production coordination. This is a hands on, people focused leadership position where your influence will directly shape production performance and ongoing organisational growth.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring proven experience in manufacturing or production management, ideally from an engineering or heavy-equipment background. Previous experience with crushing or screening operations is essential due to the specialist nature of the products. You will be confident leading teams, driving standards and promoting a lean, safety first culture. Strongmunication skills, a practical mindset, and the ability to analyse and improve processes will be key. Experience with MRP/ERP systems, either implementing or operating them will be highly advantageous. Flexibility, accountability and a proactive approach to problem solving will help you thrive in this fast moving environment.
