Liberty Speciality Steels currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Sourcing Assistant and Business Analyst to join our Procurement team. This role is designed to support the Procurement Team including the Sourcing Leads and the Head of Procurement. The Role of the Sourcing Assistant and Business Analyst The Sourcing Assistant and Business Analyst will be based at the Rotherham office; this is a key role within the function and will be required to: Supporting and training staff to ensure accurate order placement in accordance with category management guidelines, while maintaining compliance with internal procedures and providing effective governance and communication across the business. Lead IT system maintenance and development for the G&S Procurement function, including ownership of Master Data Management Lead on business intelligence reporting requirements for the G&S Procurement function Lead on internal and external auditing requirements for the G&S Procurement function Manage sundry sales for the G&S function, including arranging site visits with interested parties to view the assets for sale Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company safety rules, health and safety legislation and environmental standards and that operating procedures reflect current legislation. Maintain and improve product knowledge, supplier information and market knowledge in relation to clients and business unit work streams. Work under pressure during high volume periods whilst ensuring compliance to all department targets and objectives To actively and positively support and contribute to improvements and developments of the Procurement and Supply Chain functions in delivering best value for money to the business. Provide SA cover for the Raw Materials team as required by the business Required of the Sourcing Assistant and Business Analyst Previous purchasing experience or experience within a commercial role Awareness of the role Procurement plays in the Liberty organisation Ability to understand and interpret numerical information Confident, pro-active attitude, with a willingness to make a difference working closely with Operational teams on site Strong IT Excel skills with practical experience of Infor (LN) A team worker, with a flexible approach to work A good standard of general education and preferably working towards CIPS membership The Working Pattern of the Sourcing Assistant and Business Analyst This is a Monday to Friday Role 8am 4pm.
