South WestYorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a ConsultantPsychiatrist to join the Medical teambased at Cheswold ParkHospital. This role plays a vital partin ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be anintegral role within the female medium secure pathway. We are seeking a 10 PA substantiveConsultant to join the Medium secure womens service in-patient team due tovacancy following takeover of Cheswold Park Hospital since October 2024. Thejob entails cover of a 12 bedded female medium secure ward (Skipton) with bothMental illness and Personality disorder service lines. Additionally, the postholder will be the allocated AC in charge of patients medical treatmentfor patients on Wentbridge Ward (male ASD low secure) who are under the care ofan existing MPAC this post holder will provide cross cover for Wentbridge (this is for 2days per week and supports the existing LTFT MPAC consultant).

Main duties of the job

Qualifications
* MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
* Additional clinical qualifications.

* Included on the GMC Specialist Register for General Psychiatry with special interest in Forensic Psychiatry, or within six months of gaining.
* Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment. (If not achieved at the time of appointment low secure colleague support will be provided as interim measure.)
* Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within three months of appointment. (If not achieved at the time of appointment low secure colleague support will be provided as interim measure.)
* In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
