Mechanical Fitter
A multi-skilled assembler/fitter is required by a long-established and respected engineering manufacturing company. This interesting role is to work on various types of assembly and fitting to a high standard for equipment used in the food processing industry.
Mechanical Fitter - Job Responsibilities
* Assemble, install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
* Perform inspections to identify any faults or malfunctions and troubleshoot issues.
* Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks and ensure machinery operates efficiently.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments for work.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Mechanical Fitter - Essential Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in mechanical assembly and repair techniques.
* Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
* Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
* Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Salary & Benefits
* Hourly wage ranging from £16,00 to £18,00

* Overtime is generally available paid at 1.5 times hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings
