The Role:
Are you a social worker with a minimum of two years post ASYE year experience and able to achieve the following?
• Ensure that referrals into children’s services are progressed in a timely manner and manage your workload effectively
• Demonstrate a good level of social work experience, knowledge and skills and have frontline experience working with children, young people and their families.
• Able to work with and analyse a complex and diverse range of information, making effective and timely recommendations including child protection concerns.
• Demonstrate strong written and analytical skills and be able to work well under pressure.
• Have a good understanding of thresholds and local levels of needs guidance.
In Worcestershire we are designing and developing our Family Help model of practice and this is an exciting opportunity for a full time highly skilled social worker to join our well established Initial Contact Team, at Worcestershire County Council who have been rated good by OFSTED.The role involves processing referrals from a range of partner agencies, parents and carers. Analysing the information gathered and making appropriate recommendations for next steps in accordance with the Worcestershire level of needs guidance.
Social Workers routinely have access to our Social Work Academy ensuring that they have the right training & CPD opportunities to do their best work and support them in their social work career.The team embeds a culture of learning with regular supervision, manageable caseloads, and regular team meetings.You will have regular support and access to Advanced Social Work Practitioners and will be supported by a stable and permanent management group.
