This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer to take ownership of projects, mentor junior colleagues, and drive innovation across our product range. Responsibilities include: • Carrying out dimensional site surveys on projects throughout the UK and in Europe. • Attendance at design meetings, both on site and online. • Production of general arrangement drawings. • Production of detailed manufacturing and installation drawings. • Coordinate design with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. • Production of as-built drawings. • Mentoring & Coaching of junior and mid-level colleagues. To be successful in this role, you will need: • Experience at a manufacturing business producing sheet metal products or structural steel. • Have a good understanding of installation best practices. • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. • Ability to communicate, both in writing and in person, in a professional manner at all levels. • Excellent knowledge of 2D AutoCAD. • Have a full driving license and passport, and a willingness to travel abroad for work occasionally. • Flexibility and ability to learn quickly. • A growth mindset and a proactive mentality • Proactively promote Allaway behaviours and values:- Quality, Collaboration, Trust, Initiative, Growth • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and/or Revit is advantageous. • ...
