We are currently looking for an experienced Customer Service Coordinator to join our friendly team at Tarmac ‘Hub’ in Mountsorrel, Quorn, near Loughborough, Leicestershire. This role involves engaging with customers via telephone and email to ensure orders are processed efficiently. The working hours are 8 hrs per day, Monday – Friday, with shift patterns between 7am – 5.30pm (7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, or 8.30am-5.30pm). Occasional Saturday mornings (1 in 4 rota) may be required.
This role is accessible from Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Barrow upon Soar, Syston, Shepshed, Coalville, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Ibstock, Swadlincote, Measham, Tamworth, Atherstone, Hinckley, Nottingham, Derby, Long Eaton, Kegworth, Burton upon Trent, and surrounding areas.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, the Customer Service Coordinator will be the first point of contact for our customers and will work cross-functionally within the Customer Service Team. Responsibilities include:
* Handling customer inquiries via telephone, online, and email from initial contact to delivery
* Providing excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of care and attention
* Communicating clearly both written and verbally with internal and external stakeholders
* Completing data entry and order processing tasks
* Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to clarify information, support colleagues, and resolve queries
* Inputting accurate customer data into the CRM system
* Building relationships with key stakeholders
* Coordinating with Fleet and Capacity planners regarding transport and material availability
* Keeping customers informed to facilitate transport planning and meet commercial demands
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Customer Service Coordinator will have experience in a similar stakeholder engagement role. Key qualities include:
* First-class customer service and communication skills
* Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels
* Strong telephone manner and attention to detail
* Positive, approachable, and engaging attitude
* Resilience and tenacity under pressure
* Teamwork and flexibility
* Proficiency in IT systems, especially MS Word and Excel
* Experience with Salesforce CRM is advantageous but not essential (training provided)
