Spinwell is recruiting for a Scientist for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SCIENTIST
* Lead and technical input to the client Hazardous Materials Tool (CAT D)- including management of key stakeholders/ cost benefit analysis/ lead on Phase 3 and implementation
* Manage and implement the amendment of DefCon 68 & Defcon 624 to reflect changing chemical policy, critical materials and requirements under the HazMat Tool;
* Cover the requirements tasked under the DE&S Asbestos NSI lead to close the remaining NSIs on the organisation and related asbestos tasking including reporting and training update;
* Lead and advise on radiation;
* Lead and advise on Hazardous materials;
* Review the technical contents of REACH Defence exemptions before submission;
* Support Audit and assurance activities associated with dangerous goods;
* Manage the specialist team strategy (noise and vibration/hazmat/ dangerous goods/ tools/ training and HSIS)
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SCIENTIST
* Experience working in regulated technical teams
* Experience managing a team
