Neurodevelopmental Service Clinical Psychologist

We are recruiting clinical psychologists to work with us in our East IHC Neurodevelopmental Service for children and young people aged 5-18. This is a development‑oriented opportunity in a service keen to develop and innovate. The post covers the areas of Wrexham and Flintshire. Applications are welcome from those seeking to join at band 7; on commencing in post, you will have a development plan and be supported to transition to band 8A once the required competencies are achieved. Experienced clinical psychologists who would like to be considered for a band 8A position are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties

You will work with clinical and assistant psychologists, completing neurodevelopmental assessments and brief intervention as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will have opportunities to contribute to service development, audit and research, and to develop leadership, supervision and consultation skills. Regular clinical supervision will be provided by a Senior Clinical Psychologist. We have established links with the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme, providing regular placements and training. Within the East IHC, we have a supportive network of child psychologists across specialisms for peer and professional support. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
