Location: Goole Depot, DN14 6UE Job Type: Full - time, permanent Hours: Anticipated normal working hours are Monday to Friday 08.00hrs to 17.00hrs. LGV Mechanic - The Role: - Inspect and repair vehicles, trailers and plant - MOT preparation of vehicles and trailers - Diagnose and rectify all types of faults - Service and repair vehicles or components using appropriate equipment and tools - Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses as required - Welding and fabrication of components in the scope of vehicle repair - Any other reasonable duties as workload requires LGV Mechanic - You: The following requirements are required: - Full UK car license - City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician - HGV service and repair experience - The ability to organise work on own initiative and work under pressure - Experience working with trailers, hydraulic systems and electrical systems - Experience of Diagnostic computers - Having a CE (class 1) Licence would be preferred but not essential - Self-motivated and an effective team player - Positive approach to management of change - Effective communicator at all levels - Good time keeping skills LGV Mechanic - Benefits: - 28 days Holiday per year including Bank Holiday - Company contributions to the Company pension scheme is offered subject to conditions - Holiday Purchase Scheme subject to conditions - Overnight subsistence costs are paid when away from base The Opportunity The appointment will enjoy a varied work load and will have opportunity to help grow and develop their own skills within the Company in the various divisions of the company, contributing to the Company's development and their own prospects for promotion.
