Location and Working Arrangement
Contract Paralegal role in the Financial Services Disputes (FSD) team based in Bristol. May require occasional attendance at TLT office locations.
Responsibilities
* Investigate and analyse claims, prepare draft advices.
* Support the handling of customer complaints, including investigating issues, reviewing documentation and preparing responses in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
* Assist solicitors with preparing trial bundles.
* Instruct experts and carry out initial review of expert reports.
* Draft correspondence.
* Review discovery documents received from other parties.
* Manage key dates.
* Assist with recording, reporting on and analysing Management Information.
* Assist with billing.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience of complaints handling, ideally within financial services, with ability to investigate, assess and respond to customer complaints in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
* Accuracy, good organisational skills and flexibility.
* Proficient in Word and Outlook; experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Interwoven beneficial.
* Desirable: proficient Excel skills (basic & VLOOKUP formulas, pivot tables/charts, handling large spreadsheets), ability to export data to other spreadsheets and charts efficiently, and to create easy‑to‑read analysis.
Contract Details
Assignment expected to last 3–6 months. Daily rate will be competitive and commensurate with experience, through an umbrella company.
