Job Overview: My Client is looking for a detail-driven Estimator with proven experience in steel frame construction to join our commercial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for new build and refurbishment projects, with a focus on steel-framed structures across commercial, industrial, and logistics sectors. Key Responsibilities: * Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate and competitive estimates. * Price steel frame elements, groundworks, cladding, MEP coordination, and associated packages. * Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the most competitive quotes and build cost databases. * Evaluate tender documentation, identify risks, and prepare value engineering options. * Liaise with design teams, planners, and project managers to ensure comprehensive pricing strategies. * Produce bills of quantities and cost breakdowns using estimating software and Excel. * Participate in tender reviews, adjudications, and handovers to delivery teams. * Keep up to date with market rates, trends, and supply chain fluctuations.
