Around since , SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. Today, we operate over 70 services in communities across Scotland, providing mental health social care support, addictions and employment services, among others. Together with national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention, and physical activity and sport, these services inform SAMH’s policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

About the Role

The role is within the Way Forward services which has three sites based in Govan, Patrick and Maryhill. The three sites are registered as Care at home/housing support, this is a challenging and exciting opportunity to make a difference to people who have a diagnosed Mental Health condition. The service strives to support people to achieve their identified outcomes and live as independently as they can. The team support the people who use our services with daily living tasks, medication, liaise with primary health care services, enabling individuals to achieve their chosen outcomes.

What we are looking for:

You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills and a mature attitude together with adaptability and enthusiasm. We don’t need you to have any specific qualifications or experience to join us, but what we do ask is you have right attitude and values, as respect and dignity are at the heart of everything we do at SAMH. We will ask you to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme, and register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The posts will involve a variety of shift patterns including evenings, weekends and two sites requires a sleepover and on call shifts.
