Overview
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant. Our client is a mainstream Secondary school rated based within Cannock with easy transport links and free on-site parking.
Responsibilities
* Work 1:1 with children who have SEN such as ADD, ADHD, or other learning difficulties
* Create fun and creative learning resources while developing childrens understanding
* Use phonics to aid speech and language development
* Work with class teachers in lessons in order to support those with SEN in mainstream schooling

Location - Cannock

Type of work - Assisting children on a 1:1 basis
Start date - September 2025
Likely Duration - Ongoing
Position end date - Ongoing
Contract type - Temporary
Full-time (Monday-Friday)
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
Eligibility
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
* Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two relevant professional references.
