Join BWSC as a Fuel Handling Technician and Operations Support. This full-time role supports fuel handling, site logistics, and daily operations within a renewable energy context.

What you’ll be doing
* Reporting to the Operations Manager and carrying out fuel loading duties with day-to-day compliance for offloading systems.
* Conduct daily inspections of lifting equipment, manage on-site traffic systems, and perform other checks within your area of responsibility.
* Manage day-to-day logistics and planning of deliveries to site; monitor fuel stock and report findings.
* Carry out fuel analysis quality checks and input data into computer systems.
* Carry out ash collection, loading and offloading; handle general site loading and offloading tasks.
* Assist with routine maintenance as needed and support the operations team to return the plant to service after maintenance or outages.
* Conduct routine site cleaning as scheduled or required.
* Adapt work patterns with the day operations team to meet business needs.
* Safely operate a Telehandler and Front End Loader (training provided).
* Adhere to safety rules and procedures.
Qualifications & knowledge to succeed
* Practical operational experience with driving and operating heavy plant machinery.
* Solid understanding of HSE concepts and requirements.
* Full Driving Licence and/or Front-end Loader licence certification.
* Strong organizational, logistics, and planning skills.
* Ability to operate and perform front-line checks on equipment such as front-end loaders, telehandlers, forklifts, hydraulic systems, traffic management, and weigh bridges (not essential but desirable).
* Excellent written and verbal communication with reporting experience.
* Familiar with computer applications including Microsoft Excel.
* Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, flexible, and committed.
* Excellent communication and motivational abilities.
* Preferred experience in biomass power generation operations and maintenance or exposure to heavy process plant maintenance (desirable).

This is a full-time role contracted for 40 hours per week, with a 24/7 shift pattern Monday to Sunday. Some travel may be required.
