About the role: We are recruiting an experienced Pharmacy Dispenser to lead, support and oversee dispensary operations during weekdays and weekends. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will help guide the dispensary team, maintain safe and accurate dispensing practices, and ensure smooth workflows within the department. You will report to the Pharmacy Manager and work closely with both the pharmacy team and clinical teams to ensure a consistent high standard of service and patient care. This is a fixed-term role, working 40 hours per week. The position will include working Saturdays and Sundays. Key responsibilities Supervise and support the dispensary team during shifts, allocating tasks and ensuring effective workflow Oversee accurate dispensing of medication in line with SOPs, GPhC requirements and internal quality standards Manage stock levels and inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimising wastage Maintain accurate and compliant records, including controlled drug documentation and incident reporting where required Work closely with Pharmacy Operations to resolve queries, support process improvements and maintain the smooth running of the dispensary Support training and development of dispensary colleagues, contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment Skills, Experience, and Qualification: UK Pharmacy Dispenser Qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a pharmacy dispenser, ideally with supervisory or team lead experience Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work Clear and confident communication skills Ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends as part of the rota A patient-centred approach and commitment to safe, compliant practice Ideally Undertaken CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational programme.
