PROJECT MANAGER
Carbon60 is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support technical M&E investigations, remediation, and closeout activities across complex facilities in Oxfordshire.

PAY RATE: Negotiable
CONTRACT TYPE: May - September | 40 hours per weekLOCATION: Oxfordshire, UK THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will act as a technical M&E Project Manager focused on investigating, validating, and resolving legacy system issues across complex facilities.
The role requires a hands-on and technically confident individual who can coordinate between operations teams, clients, and specialist subcontractors to drive investigations and remedial actions through to completion.
The Project Manager will be site-based 5 days per week, working proactively to support client needs while managing highly varied technical and operational challenges across complex M&E systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conduct technical investigations across systems including fire alarms, electrical infrastructure, compressors, freezers, water, and air systems
* Review commissioning records, O&M manuals, test results, and drawings to identify gaps and corrective actions
* Lead root-cause analysis activities and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
* Coordinate recommissioning, testing, repairs, and remedial works with subcontractors and specialists
* Act as the key point of contact between client, operations teams, and contractors
* Support project controls including scopes of work, risk management, SHEQ/CDM compliance, and progress reporting
* Ensure all system documentation, asset data, and handover information is accurate and complete
* Identify additional system issues and manage them through to resolution
* Maintain strong stakeholder communication and contractor oversight throughout the project lifecycle
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven Project Management experience within M&E, FM, or Building Services environments
* Strong technical understanding across mechanical, electrical, BMS, and life-safety systems
* Background in commissioning, technical investigations, engineering closeout, or remedial projects
* Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills
* Ability to work independently and proactively within a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
* Good understanding of CDM and SHEQ compliance
* Basic DBS required
DESIRABLE:
* Technical qualifications within Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction disciplines
* Previous experience within pharmaceutical or highly regulated environments
* Experience working within complex critical facilities or live operational sites
